Time for gifts-The Baby shower

Baby Shower Games

Now it's time to have some fun and have a baby shower. If you have a Babies R Us in your town I would suggest going there to register your gift. It has everything you could think of that you need. And if you have out of town guest coming in, they can even go online to see what you want and what someone has already bought you. But don't you cheat and peek at what your getting ( I almost did).

When the day finally comes, don't get stressed out by anything going on. It is your day so sit back and have fun. And when they start playing those little games, just be happy you don't have to play. Unless you have a shower like me - where the guest gets a roll of toliet paper and are asked to guess how much is needed to go around your belly! My lovely cousin made it so big it wrapped around the two of us standing together, but I still made her the Godmother.

Thanks Shelley!!

Here are some fun games to play:

Guess who
Instruct guests to bring a baby photo of themselves to the shower. Place all photos in a focal point, such as the coffee table, and have guests try to match each baby photo to the guest they belong to. The winner is the person with most correct guesses.

Memory tray game
Set a tray of around 40 baby items (more or less if desired) in front of your guests for about a minute or two. Take the tray and items away and have them try to name (on paper) as many of the items as they can remember. Prize is awarded to the person who remembered the most items.

Dirty Diaper Game(kinda gross but funny)
Get about 5 differant kinds of candy bars, melt them down and put each one in a diaper. Have your guest try to guess which candy bar is which. They can smell, touch or even taste it if they want. It may sound a little gross, but it is a very fun game and will have everyone laughing at the person trying to figure out what the candy bar is.

Baby food guessing game
Take the labels off about 10-12 jars of baby food. Have guests try to determine what the flavor of baby food is (make sure you keep a record of what food is what). Award prizes for the most correct answers. You could also have guests taste the baby food, but unless you're really cruel, only use dessert flavors.

Onesie painting - This one is very cute!
Supply baby t-shirts or onesie outfits (plain white ones work best) and puff paints for your guests. Have them decorate a shirt any way they want, and keep the finished products; either as a keepsake or for baby to wear.

Door prizes are always nice things to have at the party. You can give one to the first guest there, you can pick a number at the beginning and then, whoevers gift you open at that number wins a prize. Some great prize ideas are candles, body lotions and bath gels, picture frames,or even filling baby bottles with some candy.

No matter what everyone will have a good time and, most importantly, you will get a lot of nice gifts to help out; and who doesn't need a little help in the beginning!
